Our Stability
SchoolsFirst FCU was founded in 1934 when a group of 126 school employees pooled together $1,200 to form a financial cooperative. Their goals were simple:
- Offer Members a safe investment with a competitive rate of return
- Provide Members confidential, low-interest loans with terms that would not create hardship.
Their philosophy was equally simple:
Not for profit, not for charity, but for service.
Although we now serve more than 2,000 times the number of Members as when we began, our philosophy has not wavered.
Today, SchoolsFirst FCU is one of the largest and best capitalized credit unions in the country. A full-service financial institution, SchoolsFirst FCU provides a complete range of financial products and services. We currently have 15 locations throughout Orange County and over 750 employees.
